A friend of a friend is getting married shortly in Austria wearing something like this. We never knew Heidi attire could be sooo sexy!
Apparently, this is traditional wedding attire in Austria the bride is an Austrian lass; she normally wears ski-wear as she lives near the Alpine ski fields. Her man, who hails from New Zealand, is having to don lederhosen—short, tight leather pants—not quite so sure about this, just hope he has the legs for it.
Anyway, back to the dirndl wedding dress. It's the Bavarian national costume, which is why Alpine brides wear it. Wedding Cafe NZ wants reckons white dresses are perhaps more beautiful, but the dirndl can sure sure be cute, as this catalogue photo shows.
